Museums and Galleries
ARoS – Aros Allé 2
One of Europa’s largest art museums. A mix of modern and historical art. A few 100 meters from Bora Bora.

Prices: 150 dkk/ 21 euro for adults under 31 year sold and 200 dkk/ 27 euro for adults over 31 years old.
Kunsthal Aarhus – J.M. Mørks gade 13
Kunsthal Aarhus is a contemporary art centre with cutting edge art, landmark architecture and an intimate atmosphere. Close to Bora Bora.

Moesgaard Museum – Moesgaard Allé 15, 8270 Højbjerg
An exciting archaeology and ethnography museum and one of Aarhus’ most popular places to visit. Beautifully located in the forests south of Aarhus. Go by bus or bike along the sea and through the forest (9 kilometers / 30 min.).

Prices: 195 dkk/ 27 euro or 185 dkk/ 25 euro if you order online in advance.
Den Gamle By (The Old Town) – Viborgvej 2
An open-air museum with heritage sites that explores the history of the early borough in Denmark. In central Aarhus - walking distance from Bora Bora.
Opening hours: 10 - 17
Prices: 145 dkk/ 20 euro from january to march and 205 dkk/ 28 euro the rest of the year. It is free to take a walk in the part of the museum that is outdoors after hours.

The Latin Quarter
(Street names: Borgergade, Klostergade, Badstuegade, Guldsmedgade, Graven, Volden)
The ‘Latin Quarter’ is the oldest quarter in Aarhus. It developed in the late 14th century, after the city had been given permission to demolish the old Viking fortifications. In the Latin Quarter you will find a vibrant atmosphere; the cafés are filled with people, the streets are narrow and cobblestoned, all providing the perfect setting for the small, chic designer shops.
Frederiksbjerg Quarter
(Street names: Banegårdsgade, Jægergårdsgade, M.P. Bruuns Gade)
Locally, this area is called ‘the larder of Aarhus’ – and justifiably so.
Here you will find gorgeous specialist shops offering high-quality foods, designs – and delicatessens – side-by-side with charming cafés, classic Danish pubs, and excellent eating places.
The ARoS Shop
The shop is located in the ARoS Art Museum at street level next to the ART Café. Here you will find a wide selection of inspiring Danish and international design of the highest quality, selected books on art, design and architecture, plus postcards and posters depicting works from the museum’s collections and special exhibitions. A good place to buy a gift.
Strøget - The pedestrianised high street
Connects the Banegårdspladsen central station square with the street of Åboulevarden by the river. Here you can find large brand name shops and small shops carrying special product ranges. Parallel to this is Frederiksgade - the smaller but still charming pedestrian street.
Salling Rooftop
Located in the middle part of the central pedestrian street Strøget, is the department store Salling. A popular place to visit is the Salling Rooftop which has a great view of the city as well as a café. A popular spot with free entrance (accessible by stairs and elevator).
Bruuns Galleri - Mall
The main mall in central Aarhus - connected to the main train station.
